Since this is his first long motorcycle trip, Ruben was supposed to follow me and keep track of his mileage since his gasoline tank holds only 2.5 gallons -good for about 120 miles. I have a 5.8 gallon gas tank and in addition I carry another .5 gallon in two small approved gasoline containers. We also agreed during the over a month planning that if he is going to run out of gas, to switch his gas tank in reserve and to get in front of me so we can get off at the next exit.
