"And what is your destination?" the Canadian Customs officer asked.
"I am heading up the Alaska Highway" I replied.
"Do you understand the distance?" he asked.
The inquiry was void of any real concern -- obviously a standard line from Interrogation 101.
"Do you know Alaska's a friggin' long, long way from here?" he asked.
“Are you carrying any fruits or vegetables? Alcohol, tobacco or firearms?” I replied NO but I was pulled over and searched anyway - civilians are not allowed to carry firearms in Canada.
